I am a person who sits a lot, most of my work is just sitting at the computer, with little activity, so my whole body often gets aches and pains, especially in the shoulder and neck area. One day I sat for about 8 hours just writing, so when I got home I just wanted to bury my head in bed and sleep. After researching online and friends sharing exercises to help reduce neck pain, I tried it. It’s very effective and successful, so I’m sharing it for your reference!
With this exercise, you can do it anytime, anywhere, preferably with the support of others.
Movement 1:
With both hands stretched out, palms facing each other, slowly move your hands from top to bottom (starting from the neck area and gently stroking down to the nape area). Repeat this movement about 10 times.
Movement 2:
Stretch your arms straight, then gently bend your fingers inward toward your palms as shown. Use your folded knuckles to gently rotate and massage from the inside of your neck to shoulder level. Do this movement about 10 times.
Movement 3:
Hold the hand position like movement 3, 2 thumbs out. Use 2 thumbs to rotate and gently massage clockwise for the nape of the neck. Perform the movement about 10 times.
Movement 4:
Both hands relax naturally. Using your fingers, gently squeeze the shoulders (from the neck to the outside of the shoulders). Perform the movement about 10 times.
Movement 5:
2 hands stretched out, palms facing each other. Gently tighten evenly from the neck, shoulders down to the nape. With this movement, you should do it gently, not too vigorously to avoid pain. Do this about 10 times.
Movement 6:
Use your index finger to gently press along the cervical vertebrae down to the nape area. Repeat the same movement about 10 times.
Advantage:
– Eliminates aches and pains, creating a feeling of comfort and ease.
– In addition to applying the shoulder, neck, and nape areas, you can apply it to other parts of the body such as legs, thighs, back…
Defect:
– Quite inconvenient, difficult to do alone and have to ask the other person for help.
Good luck!
