Prime Video unveils a premiere date for The Boys Season 4, which stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and Erin Moriarty.
The Boys is heading back to Prime Video this June.
Per Variety, the fourth season of the Emmy-winning superhero drama series, The Boys, will premiere on June 13, 2024, with a three-episode debut. The remaining five episodes will then drop weekly until July 18. The premiere announcement comes after Prime Video debuted the first teaser trailer for The Boys Season 4 in December, which revealed that the critically acclaimed series would return in 2024, although an exact premiere date was not specified at the time. When The Boys does return, it will have been almost two years since the Season 3 finale, which was released on Prime Video on July 8, 2022.
A new teaser poster for The Boys Season 4 was also released on the official X account for the series, showing Homelander (Antony Starr) and Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) waving to an unseen crowd at what looks to be a campaign fundraiser. In the upcoming fourth season, “the world is on the brink,” reads the official synopsis. “Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
The Boys Franchise Continues to Grow
With reports that a fifth season of The Boys has already been greenlit, the popular superhero franchise shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Prime Video has already announced plans to continue expanding the world of The Boys beyond the main series, with a new spinoff series, dubbed The Boys: Mexico, in the works with Blue Beetle writer Gareth Dunnet-Alocer. Another season of Gen V, the first live-action spinoff of The Boys, is also in the works.
The Boys is based on the eponymous comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Besides Starr and Doumit, the Prime Video show stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, Cameron Crovetti as Ryan Butcher, and Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett. New additions to the cast for Season 4 include Valorie Curry as Firecracker, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an undisclosed role.
The first three seasons of The Boys, as well as Gen V Season 1 of The Boys Presents: Diabolical, are available to stream on Prime Video. The Boys Season 4 premieres on June 13, 2024.
