Rick Ross Drops a $12.26 Billion Bombshell on ‘The OGs’ Podcast: Rapper Show Thrilling Vision to Own Miami Heat, Promising a Billion-Dollar Game Changer!

Rick Ross, a rapper, recently mentioned that he would like to purchase a Miami Heat franchise on “The OGs,” a podcast co-hosted by Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem, two former Miami Heat forwards.

“Oh, you already know I’m going to keep it real now. I need y’all to walk me in there. Come on, we gotta get us a piece of that Miami Heat. One time for La Spoelstra Nostra, you already know.”

“Hey, big homie, that’s a dream; that’s a dream for Rozay, you know, just to see, you know, the city because it wouldn’t just be for me. It’ll be for the city.”

Given Ross’s strong ties to the community and his considerable wealth, Haslem and Miller naturally wanted to know what he had in mind for the Miami Heat. This led to an interesting discussion. After noticing Ross’s wealth, Haslem wanted to know when he was going to act.

The native Miamian and lifelong Heat fan, Ross, made it clear that joining the team wasn’t about him; it was about the city. he divulged. Miller joined in, stressing that Miami is the perfect spot to make all of these goals a reality.

The rapper has a strong bond with the Miami Heat and its fan base thanks to his lifelong devotion to the franchise and his extensive family history in the area. Considering Ross’s extensive involvement in giving back to Miami through other endeavors, his desire to own a piece of the city brings a fresh level of dedication to the city and its children.

The podcast discussion reveals Ross’s ambitions, but whether or not they will come to fruition is still up in the air. But the rumor mill has Ross’s net worth at roughly $150 million, so it’s not completely out of the question; what this may mean is that the Miami Heat and the Grammy-nominated rapper could form a unique collaboration. Ross caring about the team more than just as a fan is obvious regardless of whether this transaction goes through or not.

Who Is Miami Heat’s Owner Right Now?

Micky Arison, a millionaire who is of Israeli-American descent, has owned the Miami Heat since 1995. He oversaw the Heat’s meteoric rise to NBA greatness during his ownership, which included three championships in 2006, 2012, and 2013.

Arison, who is 73 years old, is not only involved with the NBA but also with the well-known cruise line Carnival Corporation & plc, where he serves as chairman. In addition to bringing the Heat franchise to Miami in 1988, Arison’s father, Ted, co-founded the corporation, which was originally called Carnival Cruise Line. Micky Arison was able to bypass his family’s connections and climb the corporate ladder on his own.

After moving to the United States from Tel Aviv, Israel, Arison went to school at the University of Miami and then worked his way up to sales representative for his father’s cruise line in 1972. He was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In 1979, he was finally named president and chief executive officer of Carnival. He remained in that role until 2013, when he was promoted to chairman.

Arison oversaw the acquisition of several profitable cruise lines by Carnival, including Costa Cruises, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard, and Holland America Line. The parent company of Carnival Cruise Line, now known as Carnival Corporation, became the biggest and most successful cruise operator in the world in 1993 as a result of this strategic development.

Both Forbes and Bloomberg have Micky Arison’s net worth estimated at $5.6 billion and $10.6 billion, respectively, as of 2023. His leadership at Carnival Corporation—which he owns and operates—and the Miami Heat both contribute significantly to his enormous riches. The company has over 100 ships and serves over 11 million people every year, contributing to its estimated net worth of $12.26 billion.
