According to Korean media, Blackpink once again proved themselves worthy of the title of global superstar and Kpop queen when they became the only girl group to have 21 songs exceeding 200 million streams on Spotify. The group’s latest song to reach this milestone on Spotify is “Crazy Over You”.
Currently, the top 3 girl groups with the most songs exceeding 200 million streams on Spotify are led by Blackpink (21 songs), Little Mix (12 songs), and TWICE (9 songs). These representatives are Korea, England and South Korea respectively.
Thus, in Kpop alone, Blackpink overwhelms other girl groups with more than double the number of songs of group TWICE. In addition, Blackpink set a new milestone by being the first girl group in history to achieve 2.7 billion streams on Spotify in just one year.
This achievement surpassed their own previous record for the highest number of annual streams by any girl group on the platform, set in 2022.
