Over the weekend, Usher spoke on the radio show “The Breakfast Club.” A clip of the conversation was posted on Instagram on Friday (local time). In this conversation, the 45-year-old famous American star talked about why Justin Bieber did not participate in his special performance at the Super Bowl 2024 Halftime Show.
“You know, things haven’t gone well with Justin,” Usher said. “I honor and recognize that, my brother… I think maybe the reality is he just wanted to tell a different story. at this time and I understand that.”
Usher was a mentor to Bieber when the singer was a teenager starting out in the music industry in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Usher said he had “a brief conversation ” with Justin and they have decided to collaborate “in the future”.
Usher is also confident that Justin Bieber will one day perform at the Super Bowl championship game.
