Before ‘The Match’ in Florida, where the disc joker offered commentary for the ninth iteration of the made-for-TV charity tournament, DJ Khaled has challenged Rory McIlroy to nine holes.
At the Park City Municipal Golf Course in West Palm Beach on Monday, McIlroy, Max Homa, Rose Zhang, and Lexi Thompson played a 12-hole skins game.
‘The Match’ included commentary from six-time Emmy winner Ernie Johnson and former NHL player Paul Bissonnette in addition to DJ Khaled. Christina Kim and Kathryn Tappen were also commentators at the function.
However, DJ Khaled, whose actual name is Khaled Mohammed Khaled, stated before to the game that he only wanted to test his driving against the 34-year-old McIlroy, a four-time major champion.
The ‘All I Do Is Win’ hitmaker initially exclaimed, “Yo Rory, when me and you going toe-for-toe on the golf course?” before considering how many holes they would play.

DJ Khaled overcame NBA icon Charles Barkley in a best-of-three match after being stopped by local authorities in Miami earlier this month while driving his golf cart barefoot.
Regarding the record producer’s proposal to face off, McIlroy said on TV: ‘I like that you went from 18 to 9 nine there, to start off.
‘Anytime, anytime you want to come up here to Palm Beach, I’ll drive down to Miami. We’ll play. Yeah, I’d love that.
‘[…] I knew he was obviously going to be involved tonight so I had a DJ Khaled playlist going on the course today.
