Top Gun 3 is depending on Tom Cruise’s super busy schedule

Tom Cruise is a busy man, an actor considered to be among the workaholic stars. Therefore, Tom’s schedule seems to have no gaps with the words “free time”. And this makes it difficult to give “Top Gun” fans a specific timeline for when the third part of the movie will be released. Previously, in January, Variety reported that Paramount was developing “Top Gun 3” and had invited “Top Gun: Maverick” co-writer Ehren Kruger to write the script for the new part.

In a conversation with ScreenRant, franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer said “Tom Cruise is so busy that you never know when Top Gun 3 will go into production”.

“It’s going to be Tom Cruise leading the cast,” Bruckheimer said. “Tom is amazing. We spent some time with him and we have a story. Joe Kosinski had a great story idea for it and after looking at it, Tom said, ‘I really like it’ so we’re developing the story”.

“But you never know when it’s going to be finished because Tom is so busy,” Bruckheimer continued. “He’s currently working on ‘Mission: Impossible’… Hopefully we’ll get a script that he loves”.

Cruise is currently filming “Mission: Impossible 8,” which will be a sequel to last year’s Dead Reckoning. Paramount is also behind this popular action film series. The studio is hoping that “Top Gun: Maverick” director Joseph Kosinski will return to direct the next “Top Gun” movie.

“Top Gun: Maverick” was a huge success for Paramount. The studio has been trying for decades to find a way to bring Tom Cruise back to this famous film. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for best picture and grossed nearly $1.5 billion, becoming the most famous film of Cruise’s career.
