In an emotional statement, Chance Perdomo’s Gen V co-stars honored the late actor and discussed his remarkable life and impact.
The following message was posted on social media by the cast, which includes Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Lizze Broadway, and Sean Patrick Thomas. The star’s deadly bike incident occurred late Friday night, according to reports.
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Chance’s family during this difficult time of sorrow. They said, “We will never forget the wonderful times we shared, his contagious smile that brightened any space, his cozy hugs, and the genuineness he always carried with him.”
His former colleagues concluded: ‘Rest in peace dear friend, you will be deeply missed. Love, The Gen V Cast.’
Officials said that the British-American actor, who was best known for playing Ambrose Spellman in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Andre Anderson in Gen V, died in a single car collision.

Just a few days after the celebrity’s tragic bike accident at the age of 27, which allegedly happened late Friday night, the cast—which includes Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Lizze Broadway, and Sean Patrick Thomas—posted the following message on social media.
Following the announcement, the Gen V producers issued a heartfelt statement over the weekend, writing, ‘We can’t quite put our heads around this.
‘For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.
‘Even writing about him in the past doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.’
The second season of Gen V’s production has been officially postponed after his passing.
According to Deadline, the cast and producers were due to meet on Saturday afternoon for the first table read of Season 2, in advance of the start of filming in Toronto on April 8.
According to the site, the writers of the series must now decide whether to find a new actor for Chance’s part or alter the scripts to say goodbye to Chance’s character.
Since news of his death, accolades rushed in for Perdomo including from his co-stars in the Amazon Prime superhero series, Patrick Schwarzenegger, who led the tributes to the actor.
The son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, 30, plays Luke Riordan/Golden Boy in The Boys’ spin-off, tweeted: ‘This hurts. A lot. What a young talented actor, and a great friend – gone way too soon. Was a pleasure to work with him in GenV. RIP Chance ❤️❤️❤️’

The Gen V producers responded to the news over the weekend with a heartfelt message, writing: “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this.”
In response to a fan posting a scene from the episode with Patrick and Chance’s characters embracing, Patrick said, “Damn that just made me cry.”
Chance portrayed Andre in the spin-off of The Boys, which starred Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn. Andre has superpowers related to magnetic manipulation.
Dan Beirne, the Social Media actor Jeff, the Godolkin University social media manager on the show, also gave credit.
With the description, “I spent probably five days with him but it was enough to know he was so funny, talented, generous and joyful,” he posted a picture of Chance to his Instagram Stories. His grin illuminated the space.
Liam, played by Robert Bazzocchi, who plays Andre’s classmate at Godolkin, thought back on his first encounter with Chance during the table read for the Gen V pilot.
“Wow,” he wrote in response to Prime Video’s Instagram statement. At the pilot table read, I told him right away that he was one of my favorite actors from “Sabrina.”
‘He’s a standout. So much talent and a warm soul. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace.’
While Amazon MGM and Sony Productions Television wrote: ‘The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. [We] extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.’
The statements were shared and reposted by several of The Boys’ stars, including Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Karen Fukuhara and Jack Quaid.

And Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk in The Boys, commented on show creator Eric Kripke’s repost of the statement, saying: ‘So sorry Eric. Sending love to his family and all those in his tribe.’
While the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, also penned a heartfelt tribute, calling Chance a ‘soulful human being’ and admitting his passing was ‘heartbreaking and staggering’.
Chance’s representatives gave a statement to Deadline that read: ‘His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest.
‘We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.’
Chance first appeared in the short film Longfield Drive as Rodell in 2016 and went on to star in TV shows such as Midsomer Murders and Sabrina.
His publicist confirmed the tragic news of his passing with Variety , saying in a statement: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident’ (pictured in 2018)
