Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra’s husband and Delta Goodrem enjoyed a brief romance back in 2011.

And while their relationship was short-lived, the American pop star only has good things to say about his former flame.

Speaking to Stellar magazine on Sunday, Nick said he has ‘always admired’ the Born to Try singer.

‘I’m very happily married now, but I’ve always admired Delta,’ Nick said.

He went on to explain he was glad that Delta and Joe got the opportunity to spend time together on Australian version of The Voice last season.

‘I’m so happy she and Joe got a chance to work together,’ he said.

Older brother Joe, 29, also spoke highly of Delta: ‘Delta’s a bit of a sister to me, and obviously Nick and her had a close relationship,’ he said.

‘Sitting next to her on the show was very comforting.’

Delta and Nick dated for 10 months before splitting in February 2012.

During Delta and Nick’s brief courtship, things appeared to get serious between LA-based Nick and the Australian beauty.

According to Woman’s Day magazine, Delta was reportedly left ‘heartbroken’ she was told Nick and actress Priyanka Chopra were ‘serious’ last year.

‘Delta was left heartbroken,’ an insider said in June last year, with the source adding she ‘can’t compete with a hottie from Hollywood.’

Nick and Priyanka Chopra later tied-the-knot in August last year, in a lavish star-studded ceremony in India.

Delta was last linked to musician Matthew Copley but has since confirmed she’s single.
