One match the WWE Universe was hyped for at WWE Backlash was The Bloodline vs. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. While this would be Tama Tonga’s debut match and the first match of the New Bloodline, this was not the reason for the hype. The reason for the hype was WWE signing Jacob Fatu. Being part of the Anoaʻi family and nephew to Rikishi and Umaga, fans wanted him there. However, they got Tonga’s brother, Tanga Loa, instead.
The reason for this is that the WWE has pushed the debut of the Samoan back. While fans wait, one WWE star has expressed their desire to be the debuting Samoan’s first opponent.
The Bloodline, which once held Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso with Wiseman Paul Heyman, went through a rebirth. The Tribal Chief is Sikoa, with MFT, Tanga, and the newest member, Loa. This radical change in not just the lineup but the aggressive nature of the group has Heyman fearing for his life, as seen at Backlash. Moreover, the final formation of The Bloodline hasn’t even been completed with Fatu yet to debut. Taking to social media, the account Slappa Wrestling on X posted a question: who should face Fatu when he debuts? Karrion Kross replied to the post with, “Me. We go waaaaay back. Fought coast to coast in numerous promotions.”
This is true, as the two men officially battled each other three times. Taking place over three different promotions in 2022, Kross has two victories over Fatu. The men battled at FSW Mecca VII: Doomsday, Circle 6 Hope For The Hopeless, and MLW Battle Riot IV Special. The first two saw Kross, the victor, and Fatu won the 40-man Battle Riot. So, should Kross be Fatu’s first opponent?
The Bloodline has plans for Jacaob Fatu
Despite already having three members, The Bloodline is still growing. Speculation hints at the new Bloodline having more members than the original. This is where the Fatu brothers come in. Reports have speculated that the story will kick off once Reigns is back in the WWE.
