Conor McGregor‘s father, Tony, was brought to the hospital on Thursday after experiencing chest pains.
Fortunately, Tony, 64, is expected to recover and soon be discharged, according to TMZ.
Tony is currently at a top-tier medical facility near his home in Ireland, per TMZ. Several family members, including the UFC star, are also in the hospital to show support.
Sources stated that Tony was brought into the facility on Thursday morning. However, after several tests, he is expected to be released soon. The cause of the chest pain is yet to be revealed, as McGregor is yet to comment on the incident.
The Liverpool native played a big part in Conor’s career as a fighter, introducing him to kickboxing at a young age.

While his son worked as a plumber’s apprentice before pursuing a career in MMA, Tony worked numerous jobs to provide for their family. Tony has been present in much of Conor’s UFC fights as he became the promotion’s first two-division champion and MMA’s biggest star.
The Notorious is gearing up to return to the Octagon on June 29. After nearly three years away, Conor will headline UFC 303 against Michael Chandler.
Conor last fought in July 2021 in a loss to Dustin Poirier. After getting knocked out in their second fight earlier that year, the Irishman broke his tibia in the first round of the trilogy, leading to his second straight loss.
Conor recently signed a contract to become a part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, with two fights left in his UFC contract. Aside from his latest venture, McGregor also made his silver screen debut in the 2024 remake of Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal.
