All About Adonis Graham, Drake’s Son

Drake is a devoted father.

The six-year-old son of Grammy-nominated rapper Adonis Graham and French singer Sophie Brussaux is called “co-parent of the year” on the latter’s 2021 album Certified Lover Boy.Drake used a song from his 2018 double album Scorpion to declare his fatherhood after first rejecting Brussaux’s claims that she was carrying his child. He rapped, “The kid is mine,” and “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid.”

In 2018, Drake discussed his connection with Brussaux and the circumstances surrounding Adonis’ birth on HBO’s The Shop. “We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible,” he stated. Right now, I’m just incredibly happy to be a great father”.

Drake and Brussaux refrained from releasing any images of Adonis, who was born on October 11, 2017, until March 2020.

Drake said to rapper Lil Wayne on his radio program, Young Money Radio with Lil Wayne on Apple Music, “I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son.” “I don’t want to feel like I have to force everyone to live under this shadow simply because I made the decision in life to become a ‘celebrity.'” All I wanted to do was get rid of that.”

In “Meet the Grahams,” Kendrick Lamar most recently mentioned Adonis by name, escalating his current conflict with Drake.

From his developing basketball enthusiasm to his most memorable times spent with his well-known father, here’s everything to know about Drake’s son, Adonis.

He is fluent in French.

Because of his French father, Brussaux, Adonis was bilingual at the age of 4.Adonis asks his father in a sweet Instagram video if he wants to learn how to talk “en français.” “Yes, please,” is Drake’s response. Adonis starts his lesson by speaking in French as his father repeats every word back to him.

Drake queries, “Is that really what you said, or are you just making stuff up?” as the lecture goes on. Adonis responds with a jest, remaining silent, which makes Drake refer to his son as “a funny guy.”

He is a creative person.

Instagram pictures of their son’s artwork, ranging from his early sketches to more somber works, have been shared by both Drake and Brussaux. Drake said, “Adonis > Picasso don’t @ me,” in the description of a 2018 Christmas card photo featuring Adonis’s handprint painting.

He watches a lot of basketball

Drake has long been a basketball fan, and it appears as though he passed his love for the game on to his son. Drake and Adonis have been spotted sitting courtside at several NBA games over the years.

Drake, a vocal fan of his hometown Toronto Raptors, often brings Adonis to their games. The father-son duo have attended a few Raptors games, including one in February 2022, where they sported matching all-black looks, and another where they were photographed lifting their cups to cheers each other.

The rapper and his son attended another Toronto Raptors game in December 2022. Drake and Adonis were seen in matching leather-like jackets and white sneakers as they enjoyed their courtside seats. The two smiled as they watched the game and Adonis was photographed enjoying a bag of Skittles.

He’s also a budding basketball star

Adonis doesn’t just watch basketball — he plays it, too! The boy showed off his skills in a December 2021 Instagram Stories posted by Drake, dribbling a ball a few times before tossing it up and making the basket.

“Yo, where you learn to shoot like that?” the proud dad asked Adonis in a later video, who shrugs. “You went four for five. You hit four shots out of five!”

Adonis finally admitted that he practices basketball at school, before sending his dad into hysterics, adding, “Also, send that to our girl.”

Drake also joked about Adonis’ love of the game while talking to NBA star Lebron James and businessman Maverick Carter on The Shop, saying: “You know he’s already in the pool like shooting the basketball. He’s gonna get to a certain age, I’m gonna bring him right to [Lebron’s] house and I’ma be like, ‘Yo, summer camp at Bronny’s house!’ ”

He attends red carpet events with Drake

In May 2021, Drake accepted the Artist of the Decade Award at the Billboard Music Awards, with a special VIP at his side. Adonis took the stage with his dad as he accepted the award, and even held the statue as he clung to his dad’s leg while he spoke.

The rapper tried to dedicate the award to his family, but had a hard time keeping the then-3-year-old in place. “To my beautiful family,” he started, before Adonis began walking away. “Hey, wait, wait, wait,” he said while grabbing Adonis, before picking him up and saying. “To you! I wanna dedicate this award to you.”

PETER HITCHENS: Our deadbeat leaders are marching us towards chaos. Why on earth do we trust them on war in Ukraine?

Do you have confidence in our leaders on tax, health, policing, farming, immigration, sleaze, housing, education or transport? Every single one a bungle, run by deadbeats where they generally achieve the opposite of what they promise. So why trust them on war in Ukraine? Yet here we go again, down the road to chaos. The weaker we get, the louder we shout. How the rest of the world must snigger at our great power posturing in Ukraine last week. They will have laughed especially at how pathetically and quickly we aped the Americans as they went directly into war with Moscow, authorising US Service personnel to guide ATACMS weapons to targets in Russia. As soon as Washington announced this dubious plan, London did the same with our Storm Shadow rockets. These cannot be launched without the direct involvement of British military know-how and American guidance systems.
