Dua Lipa, a talented English pop artist has worldwide fame for her famous musical creation. Formerly their parents lived in Kosovo from where they shifted to Westminster, England. Dua grew up there with an urge to hip hop music. Her father, Dukagjin Lipa, is also a singer in a rock band of Kosovo. Her mother is involved in the tourism industry.
Later Dua moved to Kosovo with her parents but she wanted to pursue music as a career, so she returned to England and started working in multiple places. As the first step of her journey, Dua came into modeling to know about the music industry and make some contacts with persons related to it. In 2013 she signed her first contract with Tap Management; they paid her to focus on music instead of working in bars. However, in 2015 Warner Brothers signed her for female pop artist and her career started from this time. After signing the contract, she made her first single “New Love” in august; another single was released in October.
After that Lipa’s career took a high jump when her second single “Be the One” got pan-European attention and she hit the number one position in many countries. In the beginning, she was only releasing the singles and each of them reached a position that no one can ignore her. Dua’s “Blow Your Mind” got her in the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2017 she launched her first album, which is also her namesake. From the singles, “New Rules” topped the UK number one for the first time. She has won two Grammy awards to date, one for her single “One Kiss”, the other “Electricity” in collaboration with Silk City. In Britain, she has got three Brit awards and three BBC awards.
With such a spectacular career, unlike other stars, she is also vocal about political matters and supports the English labor party.
