7 surprising details in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are hard for even die-hard fans to discover

Not only showing off spectacular techniques, Marvel filmmakers also pay attention to every small detail in building character personalities.

Many fans always frame MCU ( Marvel Cinematic Universe ) with humorous, ostentatious filmmaking and favoring special effects. In fact, Marvel also pays great attention to small details to develop character psychology. Perhaps viewers were so focused on the action scenes that they forgot the “deep” points.

1. Bruce Banner’s dream in The Avengers (2012

The Hulk’s strength is “overbearing”, but it is also like a curse for Bruce Banner ( Mark Ruffalo ) when he is always considered a threat and hunted by the government. Throughout the movies, he always wants to have a normal life, not related to killing or anger.

When invited by Black Widow ( Scarlett Johansson ) to return to work for SHIELD in The Avengers (2012), Bruce said that he could not always do what he wanted. He said as he rocked the wooden crib nearby. This detail links directly to The Incredible Hulk (2008) when Bruce cannot give birth because every time he is close to Betty Ross ( Liv Tyler ), his heart rate increases, causing Hulk to risk losing control.

2. Bucky’s cage in Captain America: Civil War (2016)

The civil war of Marvel superheroes revolves around Winter Soldier ( Sebastian Stan ) who committed too many crimes while being brainwashed by HYDRA. When captured by Everett Ross ( Martin Freeman ), the cage holding Bucky in the movie had the number D23. The letter D stands for Disney and the 23 represents the number 1923 – the year Walt Disney founded the company. This is also the official fanclub name of this studio.

3. Stark’s sonic weapon in The Incredible Hulk (2008)

The Incredible Hulk seems to be a “stepchild” of Marvel when Edward Norton was replaced by Mark Ruffalo in later films and Liv Tyler completely disappeared. The film’s only connection to the MCU is probably General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt). However, things are not that simple.

If you watch The Incredible Hulk closely, viewers will realize that the design of the sound wave vehicle used by the military while hunting the Hulk was made by Stark Industries. Not stopping there, this weapon once again appeared in Captain America: Civil War used by War Machine ( Don Cheadle ) to attack Scarlet Witch ( Elizabeth Olsen ) at Berlin airport.

4. Pepper’s necklace in Iron Man 3 (2013)

In the ending of Iron Man 3 , Tony Stark ( Robert Downey Jr. ) decides to quit being Iron Man by destroying all his armor and surgically removing shrapnel from his heart so he no longer has to wear a reactor. chest again. This is also his commitment to Pepper Potts ( Gwyneth Paltrow ) to become a proper family man.

In addition, the billionaire also gave his lover a heart-shaped necklace. If you look closely, fans will easily realize that the rope is made from the bullet fragments that Tony took out earlier.

5. Natasha’s reaction in Iron Man 2 (2010)

Iron Man 2 marked the first time Black Widow stepped onto the big screen when she was sent by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to pretend to be Tony Stark’s assistant Natalie Rushman. If you’re a die-hard Marvel fan, you’ll easily recognize her right away, but normal audiences will have to wait more than halfway through the movie to find out that she’s an agent of SHIELD.

However, those who are observant can still recognize Natasha’s killer instinct in the scene where War Machine and Iron Man fight. Luckily, Tony was gradually weakened by the energy in the reactor, causing his spirit to decline and he started to indulge in entertainment. With no other choice, his best friend Rhodes had to put on his armor to stop the billionaire.

During the fight, the two fell to the floor where Pepper and “Natalie” were standing. Following normal reflexes, Pepper immediately found a place to hide. Meanwhile, the newly hired assistant stood in a defensive position, ready to strike. Must be someone familiar with fighting and sudden dangers to be able to do the above action.

6. Conversation between Tony Stark and Jarvis in Iron Man (2008)

In many MCU films, Tony Stark often converses with artificial intelligence Jarvis ( Paul Bettany ). This is not surprising since Jarvis is the one who helps him create and operate the armor. But if you pay closer attention, the miracle will appear soon. All conversations between the two were recorded on a nearby computer screen. This is also how Jarvis stores information in case it needs to be retrieved in the future.

7. Monkey doing tricks in Captain America: The First Avengers (2011)

He died at the time of World War II, but when Captain America ( Chris Evans ) woke up, 70 years had passed. No matter how hard he tries, he still cannot forget the past and integrate into modern life. From Peggy Carter ( Hayley Atwell ) to Bucky Barnes, these are the things that haunt him every day.

Besides, a detail directly linked to his past appeared in Captain America: Civil War. When he was first injected with the serum, Steve Rogers was not allowed to go to the battlefield but had to act as an actor to encourage the soldiers’ morale. The guy drew a picture of a monkey doing tricks because he saw himself as nothing more than a tool for others to take advantage of.

In the beginning of Captain America: Civil War, this photo appears again. This is not simply an “Easter egg” but also closely related to the movie’s content when Steve thinks he fell into the same situation as before and refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, leading to civil war.
