Before this, Gadot had shared her trust in Gunn and Safran’s guarantee that the film would be completed.
Gal Gadot’s dream of having a third installment of the ‘Wonder Woman’ franchise has been crushed as it was recently reported that the movie is no longer being developed. This news comes as a disappointment to Gadot, who has previously stated her eagerness to be a part of another film.
The Israeli actress who played Wonder Woman was under the impression that a third installment of the movie was in the works, according to James Gunn and Peter Safran from DCU. However, recent news has revealed that there were no actual promises made and neither Gunn nor Safran have any intentions of creating a film centered around the popular superheroine.
At present, the pair is giving their undivided attention to revamping DC by working on new movies like ‘Superman: Legacy’ and ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold.’ It could be likely that the abandonment of Gadot’s project could be attributed to the executives’ choice of commencing a new DC universe from scratch.
Gadot’s possible reprisal as Wonder Woman didn’t sit well with fans, especially since other actors such as Affleck, Cavill, and Momoa had already parted ways with their superhero characters.
