Champions League 2008 winner with Man Utd now looks almost unrecognisable at the age of 35

Manchester United’s squad has changed dramatically since that fateful night in Moscow in 2008.

The heroes against Chelsea in Russia included the likes of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes, Nemanja Vidic and so many more.

It was an absolute belter of a first-team squad, which epitomised the sheer greatness of Manchester United, with many of these names regarded as legends 15 years down the line.

But that was a long time ago. And just as United’s team has changed, so have the players. But none more drastically than that of Anderson, who looks almost unrecognizable in his latest social media post.

Anderson has certainly changed since his Manchester United days

Gone are the dreadlocks, with the Brazilian sporting a clean-shaven haircut – he looks a lot different to his Manchester United days.

The winner of the Golden Boy Award is now most certainly a man.

Since leaving Manchester United back in 2015, Anderson spent the latter stages of his career in Brazil, where he played for Internacional and Coritiba before ultimately ending up in Turkey for two seasons at Adana Demirspor.

His career at these clubs was plagued by injuries, which led to the Brazilian’s decision to retire at the age of 32 in 2020.

Anderson looks really happy in his retirement, great to see

Three years on – it looks like he made the right decision.

Judging by his social media, the now 35-year-old is enjoying everything that retirement has to offer.

Pictures have been shared on social media with his two children, most recently on a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando.

A great player for United and a talented footballer. Although he didn’t necessarily live up to the hype, he was still a fantastic asset for Sir Alex Ferguson‘s side.

We wish Anderson all the best and many more happy years of retirement!
