Following on from its disastrous weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Mercedes is not beefing up its chances of success at next weekend’s race in Las Vegas.

The Brackley-based squad enters the race weekend having suffered a troubled event last time out in Sao Paulo.
Both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell endured high tyre degradation during the race with Hamilton scoring eighth while his team-mate was forced to retire late in the Grand Prix.
Wolff described the weekend as Mercedes’ worst since it rejoined the grid as a manufacturer in 2010.
Next on the schedule is the long-await trip to Las Vegas, which will be a step into the unknown for the teams due to the track being a new addition to the calendar.
Wolff has asserted that he is not forming any pre-event goals based on simulator data after its torturous weekend in Brazil.
