Scarlett Johansson certainly wears her heart on her sleeve.

The actress, 27, has a new tattoo tribute to the Big Apple on her wrist.

The ink is designed to look like a bracelet with the words I Heart NY on a charm.

She’s been sporting the ink while promoting her Marvel Comics movie Avengers around the globe and Us Weekly were the first to spot the etching.

Of course, Scarlett is know stranger to the pain of tattoos – she already has a sun over the sea design on her forearm and on her ankle she has two circles interlinked with the letter A.

She has previously said her tattoos maker her ‘happy’ but she prefers that the meanings behind them ‘remain private.’

Meanwhile, the actress has recently admitted that she has issues with her figure like all women do, but her all-action role in Avengers Assemble as Black Widow got her into the best shape she’s ever been in.

She said: ‘Every woman has body worries, and I’m not exempt from that. But part of the by-product of spending that much time in the gym is that you can fit into a catsuit.’

Scarlett’s spy character in the superhero movie is ‘very bendy and fierce’ and the screen beauty had to work very closely with her stunt-double Heidi Moneymaker to get her fight scenes right.

In an interview with UK TV show Daybreak, she revealed: ‘The idea is that she (Moneymaker) and I become one and we can start and finish each other’s moves and everything in between. And it’s a lot of training and dedication and it hurts and it hurts and it hurts and then suddenly it doesn’t hurt and you’re getting it right and it’s a great moment – you feel like you’ve accomplished something big.’

Scarlett appears in the Marvel movie with an all-star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans (Captain America).
