All the stone used in the retaining walls around the home was sourced from the property. “They had to blast the mountain apart, and all of that stone is what we used in the landscape,” explains Travis Liermann, owner of Outdoors by Design. The only material that didn’t come from the site were the stone stair treads, which were trucked in from Idaho
In warmer months, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen is the big draw under the covered patio. A grill, refrigerator, sink and a pizza oven make quick work of feeding a large crew. “The owners like to set up buffet style, then everyone just cruises around,” says Lynn. “It’s a moving feast.”
