Reports have claimed that Chelsea are considering other options to superstar striker target Victor Osimhen.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are now contemplating making a move instead to sign Club Brugge starlet Antonio Nusa instead.
Nusa was linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge late in the summer transfer window, with a fee of around £26m being discussed as a potential fee.
The teenager even came out himself and claimed that Chelsea had offered him a lot of money to make the switch to the Premier League, however he believed that money should not be the reason for his next big move.
It has also been claimed that a deadline day move for the winger heavily relied on them making some money through player sales in the final hours of the window. This did not happen, despite efforts to sell the likes of Ian Maatsen.
Chelsea interested in Nusa
Now, it has been reported that the club are still interested in a potential deal, as they shuffle through their transfer targets to boost their depth in attack.
On paper, it looks as if an out-and-out striker is what the club are desperately keen for, even if they have scored eight goals in the last two games against Tottenham and Manchester City.
This would point them further down the road of looking at a player like Osimhen, who looks surely set to leave the club following their mistreatment of him.
Many experts have put Chelsea down as the favourites to pull off a deal for the striker, however it is surely going to cost another club-record fee.
This could see them instead look towards someone like Ivan Toney, who it has been claimed recently could actually be available for a more realistic price tag when the window opens in January.
