General Hospital Says Goodbye to a Baddie So Good, He Couldn’t Last

General Hospital Says Goodbye to a Baddie So Good, He Couldn’t Last

Well, we guess General Hospital’s Mason finally went too far because on the show’s Tuesday, November 14 episode, it looked like Cyrus just pulled the plug on his antics… and sent him up the river for 10 years! We aren’t exactly surprised seeing as how he backed himself into one hell of a corner, but we can’t help but feel almost disappointed!

At first, it wasn’t entirely clear, but after Mason offered to throw Austin under the bus instead of confessing to Ava’s kidnapping, it didn’t look good. And the note Austin got telling him not to be foolish because “it can be deadly” just as Cyrus exited Mason’s room with a smirk looked pretty bad. Plus, General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini seemed pretty darn clear with his tweet!

During his time in Port Charles, Mason proved to be one of the best at being bad, so we can’t say we’re surprised at him being one of the few to face prison. Heck, even we started rooting for him to stick around and keep causing mayhem. Plus, he had a big hand in keeping Nikolas alive, so that’s something good, right?

Still, he’s been making life miserable for Austin and Ava for well over a year now, ever since he first popped up in the summer of 2022. He’s never really had a problem with dirty deeds, but he may have taken that a bit too far when boss Cyrus told him to abandon his Ava kidnapping and Mason instead decided to take her out. Because once you tick off Cyrus, you just end up being yet another of the wicked who must face punishment!

It was a good run, Mason, but unless your mob boss happens to be named Sonny, you can’t skate the law forever!
