It seems like a really good time to be Jennifer Lawrence—not that there ever seems a bad time to be JLaw. The actress has been celebrating since February when she low-key revealed her engagement to art dealer Cooke Maroney.
Since then she’s showed off her gorgeous engagement ring in Paris, checked out wedding venues, and hit the town with her BFF, Adele.
And over the weekend the couple celebrated their impending nuptials at an engagement party where Lawrence wore a gorgeous long-sleeved, deep-V gown by L. Wells Bridal. The silk chiffon Juliana style is from the brand’s spring 2019 collection and is available to buy for $2,300. According to Vogue, the Oscar-winner accessorized the look with shoes by Casadei, a Roger Vivier bag, and jewels by Fred Leighton. She completed the look by sweeping her wavy tresses into a low messy bun that would make Meghan Markle proud.
Her styling team, Jill & Jordan, shared a full-length sH๏τ of the dress on Instagram. “Here she comes!” they wrote in the caption. “We couldn’t be happier and more excited for #jenniferlawrence to become a #MRS. This weekend we toasted Jen and her groom to be…too good of a time was had by all.” Makeup artist Fulvia Farolfi shared the same image writing, “YES!!! What a joy to be part of this moment!!”
The dress’s romantic vibe was accentuated by the venue’s gorgeous greenery, twinkly lights, and candles lining the pathways.
Sources tell Harper’s Bazaar that the affair was star-studded—Emma Stone was in appearance, but bestie Amy Schumer likely had to miss out due to her newborn son—and that they banned phones and kept the venue secret until just before the party.
See the look below. If it’s any indication of what Lawrence’s wedding dress will look like, we’re all in.
