A man in Indonesia recounts a horrifying encounter with a 7-meter giant python in a life-and-death struggle. According to the Daily Star, 37-year-old Robert Nababn, on his way home from work, stumbled upon the massive creature sunbathing in the middle of the road in Riau province, Indonesia. Waking up in the hospital, Nababn recalled the harrowing moment facing the formidable python.
The 37-year-old man stated that he tried to pull the giant snake off the road, but unexpectedly faced fierce resistance from the creature. The giant python bit into the Indonesian man’s arm, tightly coiling around him. This is a common method used by pythons to subdue prey, suffocating the victim before swallowing them whole.
The carcass of the 7-meter giant python was tied up by the residents of Indonesia with a rope.
In some way, Nababn managed to survive, and all he knew afterward was that he found himself in the hospital. The man’s arm suffered severe injuries with deep bites from the giant python. Nababn was also exhausted.
It remains unclear how the man survived or what happened to the python.
“I tried to catch the snake,” Nababn said. “But it bit my hand, and we wrestled with each other for a while.”
Local residents in Indonesia gathered around the carcass of the giant python.
Subsequent images showed local residents surrounding the carcass of the giant python. The large snake was tied up with a rope, with its tail large enough to accommodate three sitting children.
Initial information suggested that this giant python could be a reticulated python, a species known for its large size, found scattered across Southeast Asia, capable of growing up to 10 meters in length.
The reticulated python is an excellent swimmer, capable of migrating to live on small islands near the shores of Indonesia.
The miraculous survival of the man and the method by which the giant python was killed remain unclear.
The world record for the largest captive python was held by a snake named Medusa, measuring 7.62 meters.
Unfortunately, like Nababn, another Indonesian man earlier this year was swallowed by a 7-meter giant python. When the snake was dissected, everyone was shocked to discover the intact body inside.”
