The decision is based on the prenuptial contract the couple signed before getting married. Nicole’s side once asked her ex-husband for $2 million in monthly support, but the court did not approve. The support agreement runs from the time the two complete the divorce proceedings until Nicole has another husband, one of them dies, or the court issues a new ruling.
In June 2020, Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre after 24 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. They have two children together, Truice (24 years old) and Truly (20 years old). Earlier this year, Young told the court that her husband had physically and emotionally abused her for many years together. After that, the rapper had to provide his wife two million dollars to cover her living expenses during the separation period. June, Dr. Dre and Nicole finalize their divorce.
