She’s had an illustrious career that includes an Oscar win, among 42 other awards.
So it was about time that Sandra Bullock received the accolade of having her hand and footprints immortalised on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
The actress was beaming from ear to ear outside the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday, as she took centrestage in a pretty purple and green figure-hugging knee-length dress by Antonio Berardi with matching violet stilettos.
The star had no qualms about plunging her hands – and her no doubt expensive shoes – into the cement mixture, proudly showing off her brown coated hands afterwards.
Gorgeous son Louis was front and centre, held in the arms of longtime bodyguard Peter Weireter during the ceremony.
The three-and-a-half-year-old tot looked dapper in a miniature grey suit and white shirt, complete with dark grey patterned tie and black and white Converse All Stars.
The cutie greeted his mom with a sweet kiss after the formalities were over.
The protective mama usually tries not to expose her little one to the bright lights of such Tinseltown events, revealing to E! News that it was a special one-off occasion.
‘No, no. No events. This is the only one,’ she insisted. ‘He usually hates these types of things, but this is a big one because of the history of this event. I hope if he has memories of anything it’s something like this.’
Close pal Chelsea Handler also showed her support for the 49-year-old, posing together in a mock prom photo, with the blonde comedian holding the brunette around the waist from behind.
The pair enjoyed a good giggle at their antics as they displayed their obvious close bond.
The late-night talk show host looked equally stunning in a knee-length sandy-coloured dress with black and turquoise horizontal stripes, which she paired with nude pumps.
Long time friend Octavia Spencer, who first starred alongside Sandy in 1996 flick A Time To Kill, was also in attendance.
Sandra is currently riding high on her anticipated and already critically-acclaimed new movie, Gravity.
The film, which co-stars George Clooney, who was also in attendance at the ceremony, is gathering plenty of Oscar buzz momentum for the star, who took home her first gong for 2009’s The Blind Side.
The sci-fi drama hits cinemas on October 4.
