The 2023 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) ceremony has just officially taken place on the first day on November 28 in Tokyo, Japan. This is Korea’s annual music awards ceremony and is fondly called the “Asian Grammy” by many people.

BTS received the Global Icon of the Year award
After the initial performances, prestigious awards were announced one by one by the MAMA organizing committee.
On the first day of the awards ceremony, there was only one Daesang award given, the Worldwide Icon of the Year award, and this award went to the global boy band BTS . This is the 6th consecutive year BTS has won this award, affirming the group’s global dominance in music over the past time.

Besides the Daesang award, the first awards day also named the top 10 Worldwide Fan’s Choice (Bonsang).
This list names BTS, Seventeen, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, NCT Dream, Enhypen, Tomorrow X Together, Lim Young Woong, Zerobaseone, TWICE.
