According to Korean media, BTS members including: RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will join the army in mid-December to perform their mandatory duty.

On November 29, Korean media reported that RM and V would enlist together. Accordingly, the 2 idols will go to a training center on December 11.
Jimin and Jungkook will leave later, entering the same training center on December 12.
After completing their training and being deployed to their respective units, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will serve as active duty soldiers in the military for a period of 18 months.

Meanwhile, other BTS members Jin, J-Hope and SUGA are in the process of fulfilling their mandatory service obligations. Jin – the eldest brother of BTS, enlisted in December 2021, and J-Hope enlisted in April last year.
SUGA has been performing alternative military service as a social worker since September last year. Jin is expected to be discharged from the army in June next year.
