Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s opener would have been enough to give Al Hilal a seven point league-lead, but Ronaldo suddenly turned up.

After a quiet first-half he suddenly fired in a stunning first-time volley from a chipped Sadio Mane cross.

However, the goal was offside be the smallest of margins.

Despite that, Ronaldo appeared confident the on-pitch call would be overturned, but when the game was quickly re-started, he couldn’t contain his anger.

Waving his finger over to the touchline, the 38-year-old then blocked Yassine Bounou from taking a goal kick to restart the game.

His manager was similarly angry, showing the closeness of the call to the fourth official on a phone.

But with the Saudi league utilising semi-automated offside technology, the check was likely made quickly without lines needing to be drawn.

The match then went from bad to worse for Ronaldo.

His side conceded a further two goals, with former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic finding the net in the 89th minute and the second minute of added time to make it 3-0.

Al Hilal’s Ali Albulayhi was given a straight red in the third minute of added time at the end of the second half for winding up the away fans, but Al Nassr were unable to capitalise on the home side being a man down.

Al Hilal are now seven points clear at the top of the league.
