BTS Jungkook’s Comment About Megan Thee Stallion Gets Fans Emotional

BIGHIT MUSIC recently released a DVD documenting BTS’s Permission to Dance on Stage concert series in the US. The content revealed many unseen moments from the boy group before, during, and after their monumental tour, including their historic SoFi Stadium shows in Inglewood, California.

The SoFi concerts were memorable for ARMYs for many reasons, one of which was BTS’s first live performance with Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper featured on a remixed version of BTS’s 2021 global hit track “Butter,” which immediately became all the rave among fans. Her surprise appearance in the live concert was also received with much enthusiasm and love.

In the PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in the US DVD, fans got to witness some of the behind-the-scenes moments that went into making that iconic moment a reality. During the rehearsals, Megan joined BTS on stage, and amidst the professionalism, some sweet, candid moments between her and the members were caught on camera.

In the interviews of the BTS members, where they talked about Megan’s guest appearance on their show, they had nothing but praise for the rapper. While Jimin recalled her innocent temperament, Jungkook said he “really appreciated” Megan for coming, “even though her leg is hurting.”

Jungkook’s comment touched fans, who believe that he was referring to the rapper’s injuries from being shot the year before. In 2020, she was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez, who was given a 10-year prison sentence in 2023 after a harrowing legal battle. During the case’s duration, Megan Thee Stallion was targeted and victim-blamed by many, including some prominent musical artists. So, seeing Jungkook acknowledge her pain and perseverance with so much kindness and grace touched the hearts of ARMYs.

While recalling the pain and trauma Megan Thee Stallion had to endure was heartbreaking, fans are proud that she braved through it all.
