Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has responded positively to Conor Gallagher’s Instagram post after the midfielder’s red card yesterday.
Conor Gallagher was sent off in Chelsea‘s 3-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion after picking up two yellow cards in the first half and has since taken to Instagram to apologise.
It could have proved costly, but Mauricio Pochettino‘s men were still able to get the job done in the end, with Levi Colwill one of the goalscorers on the day.
In response to Gallagher’s post, Colwill simply sent a love heart emoji.
You have to wonder if Pochettino was as forgiving in the changing room at half-time. If not, you could not blame the Argentine, as he must be starting to get really frustrated with his side’s ill-discipline.
Chelsea have now lost their captain to a red card in two successive games, with Reece James getting sent off in the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United prior to the Brighton win, something his manager was not happy about.
James will be back for the Manchester United match, but the Blues will now be without Gallagher.
Chelsea their own worst enemy right now
Chelsea have fallen so far behind in the race for Champions League football and have really not helped themselves.
They have just not been disciplined enough and are making way too many mistakes.
It was Gallagher over the weekend, while the weekend before that, James and Thiago Silva really cost the team.
Again, James was sent off after two silly yellow cards, while Silva made a poor mistake that allowed Newcastle to take the game away from the Blues, with Joelinton capitalising on it.
We are not sure how Pochettino is exactly going to do it, but the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur manager has to instil more discipline into this Chelsea team.
