Indian media today published images of Ivanka Trump, daughter of former US President Donald Trump, arriving in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat state, western India, preparing to attend a series of celebratory activities before her youngest son’s wedding. Anant Ambani and future daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant of Asia’s richest billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have arrived in Jamnagar district. Singer Rihanna is also present at the event venue and is expected to play a key role in the performances here, marking her first public performance since the Superbowl match in the US last year.

The series of celebration activities will last until March 3, starting with a cocktail party with the theme “Night in Dreamland” tonight. Over the next two days, guests will visit an animal conservation center and attend traditional Indian ceremonies.

Many Indian and world businessmen, Bollywood stars, singers, and politicians participated in this event. India Times reports that guests will stay in extremely luxurious tents with many amenities, as there are no five-star hotels in Jamnagar.

The organizers provide laundry services for guests, commit to returning items within 3 hours and affirm that “asking for faster service is not feasible”. Other services such as hairdressing, makeup and Indian media outfit preparation will be “first come first served”.

This is a celebratory activity before the wedding which will take place on July 12. Anant, 28, has been engaged to Radhika Merchant, 29, since January 2023. Merchant also comes from a wealthy family that runs major Indian pharmaceutical company Encore Healthcare.

Billionaire Ambani, 66 years old, is the chairman of multi-industry conglomerate Reliance Industries. According to Forbes’ real-time rankings, he is the richest person in Asia with a fortune of more than 114 billion USD. Mr. Ambani held India’s most lavish wedding for his daughter in 2018, said to have cost up to 100 million USD. American pop star Beyonce performed at the event.
