Following the latest Kansas City Chiefs loss, fans criticized Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift for being “annoying.”

Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift are both high-profile fans of the team and their romantic partners

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, two women who are dating Kansas City Chiefs players, have been labeled as the two most annoying people connected to the franchise as disgruntled fans react to their latest loss.

Mahomes was spotted in tears, or close to, as the clock ran out in the fourth quarter in the defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders whilst Kelce threw his helmet into the ground in a rage that required the head coach, Andy Reid, to calm him and get him dialled back in on the contest.

Swift and Mahomes were present at the Arrowhead Stadium and looked upset as the Chiefs lost 20-14, and the trolls were out in force once again as they targeted the pair following the loss, as a video showed them watching on whilst looking depressed.

One user wrote on X.com, formerly Twitter, “Two most annoying people I can think of”.

Whilst another user called them, “The biggest distraction in Chiefs history”. A third said, “I’m actually glad they loss now”.

And a fourth wrote, “Lmfaoooo this is great to see man”.

Why are they disliked?

Swift, particularly, has experienced a pushback ever since she began her relationship with Travis Kelce and began appearing at NFL games, something that the league’s social media presence aimed to capitalize on.

That received a lot of negative reaction from the hardcore fans of the sport, especially when the NFL’s Instagram page changed their bio to, “The Chiefs are 3-0 as Swifties”, a reference to being fans of the musical artist and when she began dating Kelce.

Whilst Mahomes, married to the organization’s franchise player, Patrick, has become one of the most prominent female presences in the sport and has been criticized regularly throughout 2023 whilst she has also been targeted by trolls too.

She’s been criticized for appearing at games, her fashion sense, her association with Swift and her association with Jackson Mahomes, who is pending trial for sexual assault allegations, with other women saying that neither should be associating with him.

Family campaigners have criticised as ‘grossly discriminatory’ plans to give trans men and lesbians access to NHS-funded IVF two years ahead of heterosexual couples. Under the controversial proposals, trans men – those born as women who now identify as men – will be automatically assumed to be unable to conceive, as will lesbians and single women. This means they will be immediately eligible for IVF on the NHS – costing an estimated £5,000 a cycle – if they meet the other criteria, such as a body mass index between 19 and 30, not smoking, being under 43 and not having a partner with a child from a previous relationship.

Biden refers to U.S. ‘alliance’ with China before quickly backtracking as he holds final talks with Xi Jinping as Trump takeover looms

President Joe Biden sat down with Chinese President Xi Jinping for the last of many meetings with the leader of the economic powerhouse, with Biden accidentally referencing an ‘alliance’ with the country’s top competitor. ‘We are the most important alliance – or the most important relationship in the entire world, and how we’re getting along together can impact the rest of the world,’ Biden said, quickly correcting himself after applying the friendly term to a key supporter of Russia who has been harassing U.S. allies in the South China sea and flooding the U.S. with exports. But he restated his long-held view of using diplomacy to avoid problems.
