Chelsea have now been offered the chance to sign Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson.
That is according to fresh transfer speculation today.
Newcastle striker Callum Wilson, 31, is a new name linked with the Blues during this January window.
FootballTransfers first reported that Chelsea do admire Toon frontman Callum Wilson. They’re ready to overlook their youth policy to move for the experienced player.
Now, there’s fresh claims to suggest Newcastle have reached out to the Blues to discuss the English centre-forward.

HITC Football claimed this afternoon that Wilson has been offered to both Chelsea and Manchester United.
It is explained that Newcastle’s attacker may be available to get for around £18 million. If the Premier League club receives a big-money offer, they could decide to cash in to help them keep a lid on Financial Fair Play regulations.
The report adds that West Ham are interested in signing the 31-year-old, too.
Callum Wilson offered to Chelsea
Any buying club would be taking quite a sizeable risk on Wilson’s injury record if they do sign him, but he’s a proven goalscorer at Premier League level with superb experience.
We actually wouldn’t mind seeing him in Chelsea colours to add a bit of experience to the young side. Plus, he would immediately bring goals to the No 9 position, which is a long-term issue in West London the club keep struggling to fix.
He’s not the high-profile frontman that Blues supporters crave, but he could be a sensible stop-gap option in the meantime.
The Newcastle star knows England’s top division inside out and its players. He’ll be familiar with plenty of the Chelsea squad at Stamford Bridge as well.
Speaking via The Footballer’s Football Podcast last summer, Wilson described Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling as an “unbelievable” player. The duo have been together before in England camps, but could they soon be playing in the same club side?
We’re intrigued to follow this transfer story in this final week of the January window…
