Paris Saint-Germain are confident that they are going to win the race for one player despite him attracting interest from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.
Chelsea and Liverpool both have an interest in Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to AS.
However, a report from the Daily Mirror has now claimed that PSG fancy their chances of winning the battle for Guimaraes’ signature.
Their report also states that the 26-year-old has a release clause in his contract that is worth around £100m.
Guimaraes is not the only Newcastle player who has been linked to Chelsea. According to journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues have made an enquiry about Callum Wilson.

PSG confident of winning race for Bruno Guimaraes
PSG may very well go on to land Guimaraes. They have that lure now, as well as the money.
It is not something Chelsea would have to cry about, though. The Blues are in good shape in midfield.
They currently have the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, who cost a fortune, while Conor Gallagher and Romeo Lavia are a couple of more options that Mauricio Pochettino has.
The Argentine has a bit of a problem with the last two, though. Gallagher’s contract expires next year, while Lavia has been injured all season. But on paper, it is obviously not the weakest area of Chelsea’s squad.
Whatever the case, is another £100m midfielder really what this Chelsea team needs? Is Guimaraes going to take the Blues from ninth into the top four? Probably not, it is not what midfielders do. That is the kind of money they need to be forking out on forwards, actual match-winners.
Ultimately, we just do not think the Brazil international is what Chelsea and Pochettino require right now, especially if he is going to cost £100m.
