A member of the Norwegian parliament has proposed awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to American billionaire Elon Musk

According to RT, Norwegian Progressive Party parliamentarian, Mr. Marius Nilsen, said on February 20 that billionaire Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX and Tesla, deserved to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for many reasons.

First, Mr. Musk has “staunchly defended dialogue, freedom of speech and the ability to express one’s views” in a world he described as “more polarized.”

This is shown by his acquisition of the social network Twitter in October 2022 because this platform has a tendency to censor users. After the deal, he fired most of his employees and lifted the ban on many accounts, including the account of former US President Donald Trump.

Second, Mr. Musk provided Starlink satellite communications systems to support Ukraine during the conflict with Russia.

“Many of the companies that Musk founded, owns, or operates are aimed at improving society, advancing knowledge about earth and space, in addition to enabling global communication and connectivity. This helps The world becomes a more connected and safer place,” argued congressman Nilsen.

The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced in October. Among the nominees are Pope Francis, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, former US President Donald Trump, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and many organizations non-governmental.
