Drake (‘For All the Dogs’) returns to #1 on Billboard 200, while ‘Rockstar’ Dolly Parton has her best week ever

Drake released a “Scary Hours Edition” of his album “For All the Dogs,” and that helped him reclaim number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Read all about this week’s chart here at Billboard.com.

“For All the Dogs” achieved 145,000 equivalent album units based on its combined album sales, individual track sales and online streaming performance. That’s up 102% from last week, and most of that performance came from streaming. This is the album’s second week at number-one following its debut seven weeks ago.

Dolly Parton, meanwhile, made history with her first rock album, appropriately titled “Rockstar.” It debuted at number-three, the highest chart position of the legendary artist’s career. It totaled 128,000 album units, the most of her career. And its album sales accounted for 118,500 of that total, marking her biggest sales week since Luminate sales tracking started in 1991. Not bad for her 49th solo studio album.

After that, the K-pop group Enhypen launched their new album “Orange Blood” with 90,000 album units, mostly from CD sales. It’s their third top-10 release.

Morgan Wallen rounds out the top five with “One Thing at a Time,” which accumulated another 68,000 album units to hold steady in fifth place.

It was a challenging week for our Billboard 200 predictions contest, with only one participant correctly predicting the ascent of “For All the Dogs” back to the number-one spot. Most users thought “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” would maintain its lead instead of falling to second position. Then only one user correctly predicted “Rockstar” at number-three. “Orange Blood” wasn’t in our prediction center this week, but no one correctly picked “None of These” for the number-four spot. But a dozen correctly placed “One Thing at a Time” at number-five. In the end, no one scored better than three out of six correct answers. How did you do?

Boris Johnson has attacked the growing scourge of ‘thought police’ in Sir Keir Starmer’s Britain, comparing it to ‘the Soviet Union at its worst’. Writing in today’s Daily Mail, the former prime minister says investigations by police into comments on social media come ‘straight out of 1980s Romania, and the horrible curtain-twitching culture by which people reported on their friends – even their family members’. It comes amid an increasing backlash over ‘non-crime hate incidents’, where already overstretched officers probe comments and actions not considered serious enough to constitute an offence.
